At the beginning of March, we headed up to Tucson and Catalina State Park. This is definitely one of the most picturesque camp spots we have been in, with great access to hiking and biking paths. It was also just a mile away from a mall and shopping area, so real convenient for everything.

We did a lot of hiking

And we did a lot of biking

We met up with friends Tony and Erica, who treated us to dinner at an authentic Mexican restaurant in South Tucson.

And drove us up to see Mount Lemmon, which is just outside Tucson and over 9,000 feet in elevation. Was a beautiful drive, with a ski resort on the top

And then met up with friends Jim and Stacy. Tony, Jim, and I all worked together for a number of years at Marathon Petroleum. Was really good to see them again

Two of us have retired from Marathon, and the other hasn’t yet. Can you pick out the one still working in the picture below?

Want to thank Preston and Autumn for the gift card to Oreganos Italian restaurant in Tucson. The food was awesome

One of the things I have always wanted to do was to visit the Pima air and Space Museum in Tucson. It houses the largest private collection of aircraft in the world. Robyn was gracious enough to let me nerd out one day at the museum. She stayed at camp and hung out.

Looks like a beautiful camp site! Hiking, biking, meeting up with friends, eating out on Autumn and Preston , how fun and so many airplanes!
Thanks for sharing!!!
