March 6th-31st, 2023

Hello everyone! This will be our last blog of our 5 months of travels to the southeast US in 2022-2023. We are now home in good ole North Dakota as of April 2.

Pool area on Biloxi Bay RV Park in Biloxi MS.

Our campground at Biloxi Bay

Big shoutout to our friends Don and Ann from Michigan, staying at the RV park. You guys were so much fun to hang out with!

Big crawfish boil cookoff at the RV park

Check out the video below for the crawfish feed!

Check out the video below of the interloper at the dance after the crawfish feed!

(I believe he was either from Solen or Center North Dakota)

Thanks to Autumn and Preston for the gift certificate to Shaggy’s in Biloxi. It was right on the beach, and we absolutely loved the vibe and the food

Beach at Biloxi

Headed over to Gulf Shores Alabama for the day!

These houses on Dauphin Island Alabama seem to be susceptible to strong winds! We were thinking a bed would pretty much stretch from front to back of the house.

I drove over to New Orleans again one day to spend the day at the National WWII museum

Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress

Grumman Avenger

This is a jeep that they used inside a fabric glider that the allies landed on French soil during the D-Day landings. Many of these gliders crash-landed and many pilots were lost.

This is probably the best place we ate during the whole month in the Biloxi area (including our trips to New Orleans) Check it out if in Biloxi MS.

Next, we headed up to Memphis and checkout Elvis’s home and museums at Graceland

Living room in Graceland

This is the car that Elvis was driving when he last pulled into the garage at Graceland the day before he died. I have never seen this car before, but what a beauty! It is a 1971 Stutz Blackhawk.

I wore an appropriate shirt for the day!

Elvis’s media room in his basement

I always wanted to be in one of his movies!!

1955 Pink Cadillac

We also had to head downtown to the home of the blues on Beale Street in Memphis

We figured we had to try this out and take this glass home!

On our way back home to stopped in Branson MO

We took a show cruise on the Branson Belle

We took in several shows while in Branson. Robyn’s favorite was the Elvis impersonator

Click on the video below for a glimpse of the show

I, of course had to go to the war museum in Branson. They had an incredible collection of uniforms in this museum. It had uniforms from WWII, Korea, Vietnam, and Desert Storm.

Artic ski wear from WWII (Finland)

Japanese WWII uniforms

Did a little hiking around Branson. Click the video below to view Robyn setting the pace!

After Branson, we made our way home!

So, until we head out again thanks for all that followed this blog. Thanks to all the fun people who made out travels special. We will take a break and enjoy our summer at home. (If this snow ever melts!)
